I opened Sara June in September of 2014, bright eyed and excited to own a small business in Brooklyn. I quickly felt a connection to the strong, confident women in the Brooklyn community, many of who became my clients and friends. These women inspire me everyday to push boundaries and become something more. Coming from Utah, I have worked extensively with fine, straight hair and have learned how to layer effectively in order to eliminate the dreaded “shelf.” Because I cut visually, I’ve built a wavy and curly hair clientele that just might be my new favorite hair texture to work with. And honestly, I love  fixing a bad hair cut or color. It’s so fun working with someone who thinks all hope is lost and having their eyes light up with relief. I’ve learned so much about business (and myself) in the last several years, and I’m excited to continue learning and meeting all you bright people who keep finding Sara June.
